Our first day of Summer wedding of Kim & Mitch at Merribee House in Nowra is now featured in Bridal Musings international wedding blog!
We're so excited and happy for our newlyweds now they have this gorgeous wedding write up to show off to their nearest and dearest.
Kim shares with us their love stories, tips and wedding planning tricks for all planning couples. It's a really great read not only for some handy first hand advice, but also for the amazingly beautiful David Campbell photography throughout too!

"I made a very smart decision and booked a day-of co-ordinator who helped me immensely. Alison totally changed my life"
A big thank you from the bottom of our hearts to Kim & Mitch for the biggest compliment ever - by including us in the 'Advice to Other Couples' section of the BM feature. "Delegate. I got really stressed while planning our wedding. Some people are made for it, and I’m a really organized person (being an EA) but if you don’t like being in the spotlight (which I certainly don’t), the stress and anxiety can really get to you. I made a very smart decision and booked a day-of coordinator who helped me immensely. Alison totally changed my life!" - Kim
"Why hire a separate stylist, when you can floral up a space and create something completely unique!"
We have some thoughts of our own on this gorgeous wedding!
Kim & Mitch were gifted with the most amazing, clear, sunny day. The property's roses were in full bloom, radiating so much colour, which set an amazing backdrop and aisleway for the ceremony.
When it comes to choosing your wedding venue, we totally recommend what Kim & Mitch did - they made the day relaxing for everyone by choosing a venue where the entire wedding, including all post wedding photographs and bridal party accommodation could be all on the one property.
We absolutely love when the florist is the stylist, and Merribee House is the perfect DIY venue to do just that. Why hire a separate stylist when you can floral up the space and create something completely unique and never done before?
Jane and her Floreat Floral team completely transformed the barn into something else.
We were pretty chuffed to have been asked to help look after their furbaby, French bulldog Ziggy. We brought Ziggy from his accommodation to Mitch before the ceremony began, then when Kim joined Mitch at the end of the aisle, we swooped in with Ziggy's favourite chicken jerky and brought him back to his accommodation.
As the sun started to set, Kim & Mitch snuck out during a quiet time at their reception for some twilight photos in the open fields. We loved having a play in the soft natural light with Kim's breathtaking Chosen by One Day Bridal 'Nala' gown.
We were impressed how easily she hopped over the property fence in her gown, but the ease in doing so was probably with thanks to her comfy Kate Spade 'Keds' sparkle sneakers.
"This wedding was all about the love and commitment of Kim & Mitch, and less about following every tradition".
The format of the speeches was done slightly different to the typical wedding. They were spread out at different times throughout the reception, and in different locations of the barn which kept things interesting.
After the meal service, and as night set in, the guests flowed out to the forecourt under the moonlight for the last speech by Mitch.
They aren't the type to be in the spot light. With 130 guests attending, they didn't organise a wedding cake for a cake cutting and didn't want a first dance, but everything flowed so perfectly no one even noticed.
The White Tree were not only thier videographers, but were also their full live band who played the most fun tunes from the couple's entrance to the reception, right through to the sparkler send off.
As the dancing started, guests were treated to freshly shaken espresso martinis in mason jars and amazing mini dessert canapés all served up in style by caterers Hampden Deli.
We are sending so much love and happiness to Kim, Mitch & Ziggy. Thank you so much for having us a part of the best day of your lives, and of course, a congratulations once again on your gorgeous Bridal Musings feature.
